Mr. Paul Wise who has been J! confined to his bed for some time died last Fri >ay night Feb. 10 and was funerali/.ed. Monday? afternoon at Bethel which he was a member of also a class leader. He leaves a wife four-daughters, one son, two sisters and six brothers to mourn his lost. Rev. S. J. Johnson, the pastor preached the funeral' sermon. Misses Sadie Mac Rawls and Fran cjs Waring sang solos; Mr. J. W. Waring, read a paper. Miss? Carolyn Brown and Mrs. Jen * ?tHc?Sligh?arc still en the sick list. Many took advantage of the beautiful day and filled their pews in evidence of thanksgiving. The Sunday School was well attended and the lesson interestingly discussed. A review of the lesson was had by the pastor and "remarks concerning his trip to the Bishops' Council it) Tampa, Fla., briefly made which were enjoyed". Dis Lawrence preached at 11:15 A. M. from the text found in 1st Peter 5 4; subject: Coronation 'Day, which was treated under the following three divisions: 1, Description of Christ, Chief Shepherd; 2, His advent; and 3, The Reward He gives. The sermon was very impressivy ' pointing out the way to Salvation and life eternal. . .. At 7:30 P. M. Dr Lawrence preached for the third time for the day having prached at 3:00 P. RI. for l)r. W.
