Gamble preached a soul stirring sermon from Heb. 11 chapter 1st verse theme "The power of faith." We | were made to feel as those of old: "Did not our hearts burn while he talked to ug by the way." 1-*s| At 3:00 o'clock Rev. J. H. Baten j Pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, Union, preached a wonderful sermon. At 8 00 o'clock the pulpit was" filled, by the pastor who preached as never before. He preached a great^sermon after which the usual appeal was made to jo iners; several responded On Monday evening I. S. Gamble conducted the meeting for the week. He proved himself worthy qf the task. We have had revivals with more eonverts, but never have we bad any better preaching. During the week twelve persons were converted at both Jeter and Thomas A. M. E. Churches. Both were conducted by Rev. I. S. Gamble of Branchville, S. C. The pastor conducted a successful revival meeting at Branchvllle the I last week in July. He was accomrauntecT by his^wife and son L. D. Jr. He returned with all his car could hold of.the many good things the peo-' pie gave him. while he Was there. In a subsequent assembly the bishop reviewed travel incidents of real interest to students of literature, geography and history, and whether we were traveling by the; nqrthern, the middle or the southern, route, whether we were in Great Bvi.
