leaves with ham sandwiches, ice
tea, peaches and cake, after dinner

are as follows: ? The Free Will Clut
was organized in 'January-'/198?- by a
group of citizens, men and'women, ol
this citv and county in the behalf ol
the colored branch of the tuberculosa
camp at Rfdgewood. Their aims are
to bring about mutual understanding
among the general public as to what
the camp has done and is trying tc
do for them and their people, to furnish
amusement and recreation for
its inmates, to secure cooperation and
support from the citizens of the city
and county in order to support a free
bed for some person who needs treatments
and oannot pay for his or herself.

It may be recalled here that1 the
latter is very necessary as the Duke
Foundation that has supported more
than half of the camp's expenses from
six or seven years has, this year,
withdrawn tts support, which means
that the camp is unable to take care
ol as mnnv patients who are unable
to pay themselves. ThiH, of course,
hurted our people more than the
other as such a comparatively few
are able to pay $10.00 a week for any
length of time or ?ven at all.
It is needless to say that tuberculosis
is not restr:cte:J to any particular
glass or type of persons nor to
any particular class or type of person
any particular circumstance. It may
be information to you to know that
King George of England is a victim
of this disease, Herbert Hoover, Jr.,
the son of our present President, Mr.
Hurbert Hopver, Sr., is also a victimof
it as well as the great Indian political
leader Mahatma Gandhi of
Tndis. There are many other famoup
persons now serving his or her homeland
who has been a victim to this
disease.
Therefore the Free Will Club is endeavoring
