Again the Junior Choir under supervision of the director and with Miss A. K. -Moore?at the organ served on this occasion. A large gaUhering of members and friends were present. We. were glad to see Mr. Saxton Wilson from Mt. Zion A. M. , P.. Mr. Wilson is an accomplished ; violinist and has served on program? ; in Emanuel many times. Every body was busy and .was good was obtained from the. work, Sunday at ll we spent one hour in our Sunday School Union which was conducted by Bro. T. B. The lesson was reviewed by the pastor. This was the best union that ever been held ifi Benjamin Chapel since it has been organized. At 12 a preaching contest was in order, the pastor introduced the servi'de by announcing hymn' No. 192: "Oh for a closer walk with God." The first sermon was preached by Rev. 17 Measure. Rev. J. W. Felder Second, after which a collection of amount $4.50. It was a high day everybody enjoyed the services. After closing of the service the pastor motored forty miles to Lancaster, S, C., to preach for the Rev. W. S. MeCoullough, at the iSecond Baptist Church. Spears presided over his conference with the usual dignity, and to the delight of the conference announced himself as a candidate for the- National Presidency of tije A. C.I K. League.
