the piano.. The Junior Choir rendered
a quartet: "No Night There." With
Miss Hazel Craige at the" ptaho by
Messrs D. R. Bolt, Lawrence Whisonitnt,
Misses Jot' E. Davis and Lots
Stokes." A short talk on the behalf
of the ministers wives, Mrs. Leanu
Townes. '
After the contest was over Rev. H.
K. Wilson ,escorted Rev, ami Mrs. J.
Daniels into the., church, parlor,
where thev served.'_ chicken salad,
black coffee, ice cream and cake.
Mrs'.'"Alberta Ruff Daniel entertained
her B. Y. P. U. " group-at her
home on Thursday afternoon. Littlefolk
played many games after
which they were served jello and
whipped cream, cake and peanuts.
On Wednesday night', Mrs. Daniel,
chaperoned the members of. the Junior
Missionary to-Mockville, N. C.,
where they presented the play, "Slab Town
Convention." Many of the
members of the church fallowed. A J
full audience greeted them. They
will present the play at the Dunbar
High School in a few days.
Mrs. Leana Townes and Mrs. Hattie
Jamison are* very thankful to the
many members of the church, who
gave the good eatables for the big
church entertainment Thursday nite.Names
are too numerous to mention.
The entertainment was quite successful.
Mrs. Mary Con ley, died Monday
nigHt at 1 he IToTne of her brother, Mr,
Cullman.. She was married one year,
tfhe was able to enjoy her marriage
life Only two. weeks. It was then
that disease struck her body. She
baffled with her disease until Monday
night 10: HO, when her end came.

Nov. 10. The living room and dining
room was thrown into one. The
members were asked to give poems I
and explain them. Miss Hazel 1
Craige gave a very pretty poem and
made an excellent talk. The Juniors
were glad^to have Mr. Felix Slade
and Mw, Mrv Ella Watson as their
guest. Each spoke encouraging words
to the young folk. Miss Craige furnished
spirited music during the afternoon.
Business being disposed of
the-hostess served a delicious course
of ice cream and cake, assisted by her
husband, Rev. Daniel. A short
prograftf was rendered. The meeting
