On Midsummer's Cay, an operetta
in two acts will be directed and produced
by Howard school's primary de?
partment, Tuesday night, April 15th,
at the. Royal Theatre. This operetta
has a gripping and intensely interesting
story, and also, what a great many
people do not get on first reading,
manv delightful musical touches which,
can not be fully appreciated juntiJ ac
ted. It teaehes a -splendid lesson in
- the' care of flowers and great love
for the aesthetic and observation of
nature.
v Much time has bpen spent in energy
and thought ih training the children
to appear in .really artistic
productions. The cast is composed
of eighty characters from first to
third grades. Snappy choruses, new
and eateny songs, attractive costumes
?all these will be features of . the oneretta,
which promises to be one of
. the most beautiful and elaborate ever
presented by - Howard school's primary,
