Mrs. Hurst portrays a fervid- interest in ultural attainments; Her literary standards are keceptionally high. She has travelled extensively, read widely and well. She is a member of the DuBois Literary Circle in Baltimore. This Circle is named in honor of Dr. W. E. B. DuBois, several times author, and Editor of The Crisis. Mrs. Hurst, while residing in Baltimore was for several years, president of the Ministers Wives' Alliance.
