There is-no ..woman in this country
today that is doing more to gladden
the hceirts of her people At home and i
abroad than-the wife of Bishop John'

Abbeville, the home of her girlhood
days and while there-she was invited'
to address the students , of =the col

costly.,-mode rii briok sn-nptiivo; with
class rooms well equipped. > There
was not u sirrgie box in the auditorik

Um that could be used as a seat. The
students had to stand upon their feet
' during thc~whole period of devotions" .
This situation moved Sister Hurst to
tears arid she resolved then and there
___??L that she would?begin ?i fund that. .
.would assist, in .whanging this had con,

dollars, followed by; Bishop Hurst
Then she carried this' appeal from
?? conference to?conference ' and asked >.
for the financial! crumbs of th0< public. '
They reported to her sympathetic up
peal. So on Wednesday of the Pied

from the confe/eneo a few hours
to go to Abbeville High School and re
port the result of her noble efforts.
