Our great Evangelist, Rev. Z, \y. White of Elizabeth City,N, C., preached for us." He used as his discourse: "A will to Go." 21 Kings 24. Oyr hearts did burn within us as the man of God broke the bread of life. The S. S. is going at its best with much interest nad faith. We are moving toward the mark of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus. A splendid lesson was dis cussed by, the teachers and their scholars. p. m. with Miss M. E. Gordon officiating. "Money as a Goal." "How much of a goal should money be?" was the topic for discussion. Themes on these subjects were writ tan-wd?read.?Money, -its- origfi n; money as our medium of exchange; the love of money, honest riches, the right use of money; money the acid test. The Sunday School lesson treating on the story of Joseph and his brothers in Egyptw^ as beautifully discussed Sunday with a splendid review conducted by Mr. H. J. Bryant. The atendance was very good. At 11:15 A. M. Dr. E. A. "Adams preached a very [inspiring sermon from the 138th Psalms, 5th verse: "Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord for great is the glory of the Lord." Differentiating between singing with the lips and singing from the heart. Asserted: There is a marked difference and it has its effect. Christians like to sing because they nope and have conffdence. There is a note of trumph of praise' and victory in- the Christian's singing.. At the close of the services, the funeral of Rev. Kinp; TaUgy, an ac-. uhe Sunday School, was'conducted by the pastor,. The women of the federation were surprised yet highly had made under the supervision of Mrs. Martin. Mesdames Belle Vincent and Ethe^ Stephenson donated their cars to carry the Fairwold party* , This was! highly appreciated by all concerned. Among the party were Mesdames B.: Vincent; Ethel Stephenson, Ethel MartintT, D. Brown and Misses Genevieve ( V . \ THE PALM Vincent, Carqiine Rutherford, Dorothy Nonce and the four Fairwold girls. The trip wa^ a pleasant one and was made without a single mishap. Upon our arrival at Greenville we were refreshed and then went into very interesting discussion, Mrs^ Wilkinson turned the program over to Mrs.- Martin. The girls rendered several creditable selections. A beautiful centerpiece was presen~ted~to Mrs; Wilkinson by Johndell Farewell of Charleston. vJfclrs. Martin made her annual reprot! This was highly applauded. Several other selections were^ rendered by the girls and our program was ended.
