mutilated condition of the statue of Calhoun,
which occupies a conspicuous plnce in the City
llall of this city. Soon after the recovery of

the original order, and a request was urged for
a supply of an arm to repair (he mutilation.
The eiigatremcnU of Mr. l'ow-ers have deferred
his attention to the request, which however
met. his ready assent. until a comparatively
late period. We are happy to report that the
pubstitutcd arm has now been received, and
was accompanied by a letter of full instructions
and directions, which will enable any one versed
in the manipulations of the art, to affix the
limb according to the original idea of the art.ist.
