and citizens interested, or if they shall

of July, 1855, but the service must be conimeneed
on the mail dav next after that date,

transfers will be allowed unless good and sufficient.

19. Postmasters at offices on or near railroads,
but more than eighty rods from a station,
will, immediately after the 10th of April
next, report their exact distance from the nearest
station, and how they are otherwise supplied
with the mail, to enable the Postmaster
General to direct a mail messenger supply from
the 1st of July next.
20. 8ection 18 of an act of Congress approved
March 3, 1845, provides that contracts
for the transportation of the mail shnll be let.
