BIG PARADE IN
JONESVILLE SATURDAY
Jonesville is to have a big parade
and speaking on Saturday afternoon at
4 o'clock; the gathering is to be in the
interest of the Liberty Loan campaign
now on in this county and is being
promoted by Professor Guess and
other public spirited citizens of Jonesville
school district. In fact it is a
movement that seeks to unite all the
schools in the district in the campaign
in the interest of the bond issue. Every
school, both teacher and pupil, in the
district is urged to attend, and to join
in the parade.
* It is nuderstood that Major Mendel
L. Smith and Col. T. C. Duncan will
both speak at the gathering, and the
people of the entire district are urged
to turn out to the exercises.

FLOATING CONCRETE PLANT
FOR BANK REVETTING
Floating, mixing and distributing
plant, shown in the May Popular Mechanics
Magazine, has greatly simplified
the construction of concrete
revetments along the banks of the
Mississippi River. A tall steel tower
at one end of a large scow gives the
required elevation for chuiting the material.
Since the outfit travels along
as the work progresses, it has enabled
operations to move at a more rapid
rate than was heretofore possible.

And mother, dear, it hurts me so,
It makes my sad heart ache,
, To see you mash that potato
And pound that blameless steak."
