Simple Laxative E
Bert f
I)r. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin Gave
Satisfaction When Nothing
Else Would.
Nearly every one, at one time or another,
suffers from constipation, or inactive
bowels, and one of the few conclusions
upon which the doctors ajrree
is that regularity of the bowels is an
essential to good health. .
In the family medicine chest of most f
well-ordered households will be found I
one or more of the various remedies |j|
recommended for the relief of consti- V
pation. In the majority of homes to- '
day the combination of simple laxative
herbs with pepsin known as Dr.
Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin is recognized
as the standard laxative. Druggists
everywhere report a constantly increasing
demand for this splendid remedy
which is sold for fifty cents a
bottle. d.'
Mr. James Ash, 102 Green St., Cumberland,
Md., wrote to Dr. Caldwell
that he found Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Sl
Pepsin the most effective remedy for w
constipation he had ever used and that si
he always keeps a bottle of it on hand hi
for use when necessary. tc
Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin is a tr
mild laxative, and does not gripe or ts
strain, but acts gently and brings re-1 w
lief in an easy, natural manner. Its III

UGH! ACID STOMACH,
SOURNESSJH E A RTBURN
GAS OR INDIGESTION
The Moment 'Tape's Diapepsin* :
Reaches the Stomach AH
Distress Goes. J
Do some foods you eat hit back? '
taste prood, but work badly; ferment *
into acids and cause a sick, sour, prassy
stomach? Now, Mr, or Mrs. Dyspeptic,
jot this down: Pape's Diapepsin
helps neutralize the excessive acids in
the stomach so your food won't sour
and upset you. There never was anything
so safely quick, so certainly effective.
No difference how badly your
stomach is upset you usually pcet haopy
relief in five minutes, but what
pleases you most is that it helps to
reprulate your stomach so you can eat
your favorite foods without fear.
Most remedies give you relief sometimes?they
are slow, hut not sure.
"Tape's Diapepsin" is positive in neutralizing
the acidity, so the misery
won't come back very quickly.
You feel different as soon as "Tape's
Diapepsin" comes in contact with the
stomach?distress just vanishes?your
stomach gets sweet, no prases, no belching,
no eructations of undigested food,
your head clears and you feel fine.
Go now, make the best investment
you ever made, by getting a large
fifty cents case of Tape's Diapepsin
from any drug store. You realize in
five minutes how needless it is to
suffer from indigestion^ dyspepsia, or
any stomach disorder, due to acid fermentation.?Advertisement.
"CIVILIZATION"
Presents First Filmed Record of How
a Submarine Attacks a Steamer.
"Civilization," Thomas II. lore's million
dollar film spectacle, which comes
to the Edisonia Wednesday, March 7,
is remarkable for the fact that it presents
on the screen the tirsj filmed
record of how a submarine operates
when attacking a big steamer.
I It was through the instigation of
[Mr. J. Parker Read, Jr., Mr. Thos. II.
Jnce's personal representative, that the
United States government agreed to
cooperate in the taking of this portion
of the "Civilization" film. It is cus- i
tomary for the navy in its quarterly 1
bff Point Ltoma, San Diego, to use for C
target practice an old discarded steam- i
r *
ci hi iiciBin vessel. Air. Keed agreed C
to furnish the battleship seen in "Civ- I
jlization" for this purpose, and on he- \
half of Mr. Incc to pay for the ex- I
pensive torpedoes and shells used in
the fray. The government agreed to
furnish two battleships, two torpedoboat
destroyers, one cruiser, and two
submarines, the latter being of the 11
boat type.
The battle, as fought for the movies,
actually lasted 27 minutes. There
were 600 shots fired by United States
jack tars and soldiers, to say nothing
of another 600 shots fired in the air
for most part by the hired motion picture
soldiers. Of the 600 real shots
fired by the United States navy men
?each one carefully timed and placed
?ninety-two per cent were effective, _
which is a record Unc'^ Sam may well ?
be proud of.
The sinking of three enemy ships
takes place in full view of the audience,
and one boat is blown 500 feet
in the air, while all about, the sea is
tortured into a thousand seething
spouts by the bursting shells.? (Advertisement.)
