The question of seed oats is i problem now. It seems farmers havnot made much show of farm work and it seems, too, they have beei mostly busy at something. Velvet bean talk is now filling al of the farm papers, and I would add that farming ought to be coming within its own, with so many things made, or being "invented" to aid th< farmer. A brother planted 11 acres of corn with velvet beans the last of May last year, lost his foddei on the field, but quite a quantity o beans ripened but frost bit many, bu we went and picked the driest, o many of them. I quit everything elsi and helped, as the cowpea crop wa: short, and I wish to plant bean: where peas don't reach, this year, si we have quite a lot?if we can ge them hulled.
