Will Never Be This Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin Relieved Her Baby When Nothing Else Would. Little Max Pendererast is now four years old, and a fine healthy boy. When but a tiny baby, in fact almost from birth, he suffered a great deal from constipation. His mother, Mrs. Carl W. Pendergrast, Red Key, Ind., heard of Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin, obtained a bottle of it from the drug store, and with it was able to quickly correct this condition. Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin is a combination of simple laxative herbs with pepsin, pleasant to the taste, mild in action and positive in effect. It does not gripe or strain, and contains no opiate or narcotic drug. It is the ideal family laxative, mild and pleasant for baby, yet acting quickly on the strongest constitution. To avoid imitations and ineffective substitutes be sure to ask for Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin. See that a fac% Tf-IFT1 1 mm. m. ??I W W | C O { $7.00 Per Ton. $ $1.75 Per ? I t LOCKHART JUNCTION Lockhart Junction, Jan. 29.?Sunday was a beautiful Sabbath; was like a spring day, but how soon it changed, roday is Monday and it is raining. No one can keep up with the times and season. We all like to see the beautiful days in its season dnd out jf its season. This writer attended preaching at Bethlehem church Sunday to hear the preacher of the Kelton charge, Rev. Mr. Kelly. He preached a fine sermon. I find no excuse for staying away from :hurch or Sunday school on Sunday when I am well, do you? I am glad I learned that habit long ago. I imagine a preacher feels more like preaching U ? l? _ 1 nrHen nc ni?s a large congregation to preach to. Well, we live and learn something new every now and then. We found an automobile is very useful even when it is not running on the public roads. It can be used while standing under the shelter or at the home standing still. I was passing: a place sometime ago and heard a noise like a machine running:. After looking a few minutes towards where I heard the noise I found out the secret. The automobile was standing: still, all but one wheel and it was turning' a little saw mill. Now you know that was a new me on me. The engine of that auto was pulling that saw mill and the man was cutting up his firewood. There will be something else to see that we haven't seen and something else to learn we haven't learned, I guess, as long as we live. I don't think I have mentioned Mr. I. W. Pickens being back at his old home again in this section. Mr. Pick2ns spent the most of his time last year at Lockhart with his daughter. He and his grandson, Mr. Walter Plexico, are living at the old home place. Mr. A. N. White and family have moved to Greenville. Mr. White has a job as fireman on the engine and has 1 run on the railroad from that place. I learn today that Mr. Dan Gallman, a well-known citizen of Pinckney township, stood an operation at Prym's hospital in Chester, and is doing very well at this time. It was thought mce he had cancer of the stomach, but it was only an ulcer, not a cancer. His many friends hope he will soon be well again. T (T11PQG VK/O Q ro f A CAAn V* O irO timmnn suffrage. Well, I guess our lawmakers have thought about how to discriminate. They should use the word white woman and no privilege to negro woman to vote at all or the same registration law will hold good. Mr. J. F. Edmunds of Abbeville is visiting his son for a few days. Mr. A. M. Bird and J. W. Farr have returned from the mountains of North Carolina,- where they have been hunting a few days. They report a nice time killing partridges and other game. I learned yesterday that Mr. Wesley Garner's wife, who was operated an sometime ago and came home from the hospital, is sick again and we are in hopes that she will still improve in health again. Moxy. ELFORD GROVE. El ford Grove, Jan. 20.?Today is another rainy day, but Sunday was a pretty day and there was a large crowd out at Sunday school. There are lots of cases of bad colds and lagrippe in this community at present. Mr. Herbert Fowler anil family have moved from this community to Jonesville, where they will make their home. We wish them much success in this move. T want to compliment Moxy on his last few letters that he has written to The Times. I certainly enjoy reading them, for they contain a lot of truth. Blue Eyes. WAS UNABLE TO WALK AT TIMES, SHE SAYS To Move Around She Had to Push a Chair Before Her. BAD TRYING EXPERIENCES Momin^g Were Miserable for Mrs. Durham, But the Afternoons Brought Her More Comfort. Though she had suffered with rheumatism so badly who could not walk at times during three or four years, pnd had been troubled a great deal with a number of other ailments, Mrs. J. T. Durham, of 2210 S. Main St.. Anderson, declares that "Tanlac relieved my rheumatism and other troubles and got me in good shape in three weeks, after a lot of other medicines had failed to help me." "I suffered with rheumatism so badly I could not walk at times," continued Mrs. Durham, "and for several hours every morning when the rheumatism was particularly bad I would have to sit in a chair after being helped from my bed, and then my muscles would get so I could move around by pushing a chair before me. I generally was able to get around enough to get dinner, though I could never get breakfast. , "One of my legs was badly drawn, and I hurt all over and suffered torture. I had rheumatism badly for three or four years, but I had been in bad health for about nine years, when I began to take Tanlac. I also was troubled a great deal with indigestion and headaches, and my nerves were almost 'gone to pieces.' I could not sleep well, and my system was weak and run down and I felt tired out all the time. "The Tanlac soon got me where 1 could do my housework, for it quickly relieved the rheumatism and that drawing in my leg:. I am strong: and T feel well now. Tanlac certainly is a fine medicine for rheumatism. I think. I very seldom ever feel a pain in my body now, so well did Tanlac break up the rheumatism. "The medicine also built up my system in general, grave me a fine appetite and relieved the indigestion. T could not eat anything hardly when I began taking Tanlac. but.it got me so I could eat anything I wanted. T can sleep well now, and the Tanlac relieved the nervousness. I sure do fool fine, and the improvement in my condition is due to Tanlac." For sale hy Palmetto Drue Co.. Union: PufFalo Drug Co.. Buffalo; K. D. Bailey, Carlisle; P. G. Wilburn Sr Son.
