BAPTIST WOMEN HOLI) STATE MEETING The annual State convention of the Woman's Missionary Union of South Carolina was held on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday, November X, 1) and 10, in Orangeburg, S. C. The meeting was held in the First Baptist church of that city. The meeting, which was well attended by delegates from every section of ou>' State, was very enthusiastic in every respect. Many questions of interest and importance were fully and freely discussed. Among the many attractions of interest that helped to make the convention a success was the addresses of the Rev. B. P. Roach, a returned missionary from Chenghow, China, the Rev. Weston Bruner, in the evangelistic work of the Home Board, and M iss I.rilli eMcIntyre, also a returned missionary from China. These addresses added very much to the spiritual edification of the convention and will without a doubt prove a blessing and a help to all those attended, and who were fortunnate enough to have heard them. With the exception of the resignation of Mrs. Hunt, vice president, and Mrs. Rice, superintendent of Mission Study, there was no change in the State officers. Mrs. I. W. The delegates from this county to the convention were Mrs. J. F. Caudle, Mrs. Helen Etherton, Mrs. O. L. F. Jackson, Mrs. O. I,. Belue and Mrs. II. O. Holcombe. A pleasing incident of the convention was the fact that upon hearing of President Wilson's reelection a telegram of congratulations was sent him, Phil. 4:7. Mrs. C. E. Watson of (ireenville, president of the Northern Division stopped over in Union with Mrs. Ho.combe last Sunday and they, together with Mrs. Caudle and Mrs. Parties, attended the quarterly meeting, Division No. '2, of the Union County Woman's Missionary Union at Mount Joy Baptist church, Kelton, Sunday last. The next annual meeting will be held in the Citadel Square Baptist church, Charleston, S. C., next November. The exact date to be determined later. Whenever You Need a Genera! Guess everybody enjoyed the fair as we had beautiful weather and big crowds. K very thing seemed to be all (). Must say all the exhibits were fine and we hope by next fair we can have a larger exhibiting house, for Union county people certainly can exhibit many different things, which all goes to make the fair a success. The floats of the different schools were pretty and deserve lots of credit. Hope all the schools can he represented by another year. Mr. Justus preached his last sermon Sunday night at New Hope hefore conference. It is hoped we will get him back again. Miss Sallie Whitlock visited in Bon nam community Sunday. Mrs. Delia Vaughan of Jonesville visited Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Carter Sunday. Mr. W. F. Bishop is very sick at this writing, hut seems to be improving. Vero. MASTERS SALE.
