LOCKHART JUNCTION
Lockhart Junction, Sept. 16.?We
have had a good rain in this section
since my last letter. This will do the
potatoes, peas and turnips and such
like some good. Some say they won't
make any seed peas, that is of the
Unknown variety. The vines where
they have been sown is very fine.
I listened this morning to a fox
chase. Mr. W. A. L. Kelley, who is
a fox hunter, went out with his hounds
and had a fine race. The hounds
ran him to a finish. They caught him
after running him only a short time.
This was some fun for Mr. Kelley and
die other hunters. I surely enjoyed
istening at the hounds myself.
This writer being at Lockhart Saturday
and Sunday, attended Sunday
school at that place. He was given
i Baraca pin and was invited in the
lass and this was one of the largest
Sunday schools that I ever attended.
There were HO scholars in the Baraca
dass. Mr. Dent, who is the general
nanager, was the teacher. Most of
he members are men, only a few boys
n their 'teens. The older men were
n the majority. There is a rally for
nore to join. The blues and the reds
ire both working to see which will
;et the most to attend the Bible
lass. They have a blue badge and a
ed badge. The contest will close
oon and then there is to be given
in oyster supper for the school. I
ike this plan. Other Sunday schools
hould get up something to get others
0 go to Sunday school 1 was told
he yhad reached some that had never
ittended Sunday school and again I
loticed that morning the red badge
ellow and the blue badge fellow was
>oth at work and there were none left
m the street corners or any place to
oaf; all went to the Sunday school
tnd church. After the Sunday school
vas over Rev. Mr. Copeland preached
1 fine sermon.

Mr. Dixon Says He Was Sc
Weak and Nervous He
Couldn't Write.
SUFFERED FOR YEARS
Says He Thinks Tanlac is "Fines!
Remedy in World" to Purify and
Strengthen Any One.
Because of the hardship he was
forced to endure during the four years
he was a soldier for the United States
army during the Civil war, Mr. 15. F.
Dixon, of Converse, S. C., R. F. D. No.
1, a suburb of Spartanburg, "ays, in
a statement given August 7, that his
health was undermined and that he
never really enjoyed good health after
the war was ended.
Mr. Dixon was wounded six times
by h is then Southern enemies, several
times seriously. But his health now
is better than it has been in a Ion *
time, he says, and he gives Tanlac,
'the master medicine,' credit for
bringing about the great change in his
condition.
Mr. Dixon took just two bottles, he
says, and he gained eleven pounds.
His statement follows:
"I suffered particularly from stomach
trouble. I had almost completely
lost my appetite and I was just worn
down. I am 80 years of age, ana .
had lost so much strength that I stagfrorml

considerable weight and I was very
nervous. My condition finally became
so bad and my nerves were so disty
rbed that T could not sleep well and
I would lie for hours in bed before I
could get to sleep.
"Rheumatism also caused me considerable
pain, and, besides these
pains, I suffered considerably with
cfampy pains. My nerves were so
bad and my strength so little that I
could hardly write my name.
"I had suffered with these troubles
for years?I don't know just how long.
Finally, I heard about Tanlac and began
to read the advertisements, and
later I decided to take it.
"I bought the first bottle and it did
not seem t ohelp me much. The reason
of that, I know, was because I
was in such bad shape. But I had
faith in it and bought the second bottle,
and that was the bottle which
gave me wonderful results.
"The relief the two bottles of Tanlac
gave me was as follows: I gained
II pounds in weight, and that certainly
is a lot for a man of 80 years
to gain. Tanlac relieved my sleeplessness
and I got to where I could sleep
almost like a dead person. It gave me
a great appetite and I was soon eating
three square meals a day. It broke
up my stomach trouble and I gained a
deal of strength. That shortness of
breath left me, and my nerves were
quieted and strengthened. I do not
suffer with rheumatism now either.
"I think Tanlac is the finest remedy
in the world to renovate anyone's system
and to build it up. Tanlac is
good?there can' the ar.v l etter, I
ihink. 1 am certainly glad recommend
Tanlac, for it is an "xtraor-linarily
good medicine, and I knov from
my experience that it is good for ?.l!
it is claimed to be. 1 have t?' ? ?! it and
1 know what it will do. If 1 over
need medicine again. 1 certainly will
take more Tanlac."
