From that day unt the present our lives have been one < love, peace, joy and happiness. N discord has entered our happy horn For the past ten days I have been very sick man, during which time have had three doctors to examine and they have all told me that I coul never get well, which is the touches news I have ever had put up to m< At this writing I am some better an able to be up about the house, but m condition is serious. For the past 3 years I have been a regular corre spondent of the Union Times and t write for this issue has become lik second nature, but it seems that T wil have to lay my pen down and retire, have had many assurances and ex pressions of friendship all aloni through the past years, but more es pecially this Christmas tide. Thes expressions have come from Baltimore to New Orleans and Texas and I real ize how nice it is to have friends ant to all these friends I wish to conve; through this correspondence irr thanks and well wishes for a pros perous and happy life. Being confine< to my home I am unable to give th< current news of my town and com munity.
