LOCKHART JUNCTION 1
sac;
Lockhart Junction, July 5.?We
had a shower of rain in this section W{^,
last night, a pood cotton shower. The
time has come for laying by the g
crop. Some old corn has been laid wjp(
by; cotton is small except a few
patches. I see many advertising
their cotton blossoms. The early |)ut
bloom does not always make the best
cctton. Sometimes the dwarf stalk
will have a square or bloom first. 1 j
had rather see corn silks and tassals. j()jj
I saw many bloom before the fourth,
but there are fields I have seen that prje
won't have any blooms before the j
fourth of August. I make a crop arn
report every month, but I hardly ever a?a
make the crop 100 percent as some ^
might do. This year I don't see . .
more than 70 percent of a crop. s 1
Many people attended Children's , ^
Day service at New Hope church ?
Sunday. The program was fine. ^
Misses Sallie Whitlock and Myrtle Stir.
Gault deserve much praise for the Gai
pains taken and training the children IV
for the occasion. After the program Ala
little Ethel Hyatt of Bogansville Col
section sang "The Drunkard," Miss the
Rogan playing the piano. This was Ala
a fine piece of music and was enjoyed wis
by all as it suited the occasion. Mr. thei
W. M. .Tones spoke on temperance.
Everybody enjoyed the day as there
was dinner served on the ground and ^
plenty of it for every one. isn'

MARRIAGE MONTHS
Married in January's hoar and rime, i
Widowed you'll be before your prime.
Married in February's sleety weather, 1
i I.iFo vnn'll f rnn/1 i ? * tn?^n f
Married when March winds shrill and i
roar,
Your home will lie on a foreign shore. I
Married 'neath April's changeful
skies, 1
A checkered path before you lies.
Married when bees o'er May bios- (
soms flit,
Strangers around your board will sit. 1
Married in month of roses?June?
Life will bo one long honeymoon. i
Married in July, with flowers ablaze,
Bitter-sweet memories in after days. 1
Married in August's heat and drowse,
Lover and friend in your chosen
spouse. i
Married in golden September's glow,
Smooth and serene your life will go. 1
Married when leaves in October thin,
Toil and hardship for you begin. 1
Married in veils of November mist,
Fortune your wedding ring has
kissed.
Married in days of December cheer,
Love's star shines brighter from year
to year. 1
Remember, the longer you live the
older you get. i
