SEES END OF WORLD
IN NEXT 25 YEARS
rile Kev. G. W. Angletaarger Prophesies
Coming of the Millenium.
JIVES GROUND FOR HIS BELIEF
Turkey Will Be the Bone of Contention
in the Great European
Struggle.
Denver, Nov. 2.?"The beginning of
he end is at hand; the war of all naions
is on and the battle of Armageddon,
the last battle, the last coniict
before the return of Christ to the
arth and the final judgment, will ocur
within the present generation.''
The Rev. G. VV. Anglebarger thus
irophesicd the coming of the millenliurn
in his sermon. "The Battle of
Vrmageddon," at the Seventh Day
\dventist church, Eleventh and Kalanath
streets, before a large congrc;ation.
"This is the war all the nations of
he world have been looking forward
o for centuries," he said, referring
o the European situation by way of
ntroducing his argument. "It is the
var referred to in the Holy Scripures
which is to rend the nations of
he world asunder. It is the forcrunlinir
event of the millennium
Recalls David's Prophecy.
"The latent reports from Europe
how that Turkey is mobilizing hu.
irmy. Do you understand the signifiance
of this move? Do you remember
the prophecy of David regarding
he nation which shall inhabit Jerusaeni
after it has been crushed by the
ither nations in the last day?"
The Rev. Mr. Anglebarger explain<1
that Turkey ;s this nation.
"All the nations of Europe have
oveted Turkey for centuries," he exdaim
d. "Russia would seize that union
in twenty-four hours if she could.
"The battle of Armageddon will bv
ought by all the nations for the posession
of a long-coveted Icritorv.
1'hat territory is Turkey, and it is
rurkey that will henceforward be the I
ione of contention in the European
t niggle."
According to Dr. Anglebargcr's arrument
the inhabitants of ill Turkev
vill be driven from her confines and
vi 11 flee to Jerusalem. There they
vill die. Russia is to seize the preset
Turkish empire. The German emlire
will be crushed. Dr. Anglebarger
ustifies this prophecy by a reference
o the prophecies of Daniel, stating
hat Jerusalem shall be occupied in
he latter day by a nation crushed and
cfeated and scourged by all the other
lations of earth.
"And the remainder of the war, this
mi' which is now beginning, shall be
squabble over the territory in Asia
linor now occupied by the Turks,
ind that shall be the battle of Armaeddon.
Six Great Plagues to Come.
"Immediately preceding this great
attle, the earth will be visited by six
lagues. There shall be earthquakes,
nd pestilence and mighty disturbncefc
Many will die through war
!mfacT!tclant. Ifyou doubt this nronh
cy, I refer you to Revelation, ehaTiers
vii and viii. Look about you at
he misfortunes that are heaped unon
is in the present generation?famine,
ickness and war. Those three shall
'isit the earth just before this la *
:.*<-at battle.
"And when the battle comes, while
ill the nations are quarreling c,vci
he territory of Turkey, the seventh
!ngue will fall. The period of pro.
ition will be ended. Those who are
i * saved shall be destroyed. They
vi!l have lost their chance for sal voir
"This seventh plague will he a hail
torm. Croat hailstones will fall in
very quarter of the globe. The Reripures
say that the weight of thes?>
tones will be the weight of a talent
lach. The most conservative estimate
if a talent that has ever been record(1
is fifty-seven pounds. Wo are to
>elieve, therefore* that these hailtones
will weigh fifty-seven pound
ach. Who can survive such a calamiy?
God Will Release Wrath.
"This will be the wrath of God decending
on the earth. The judgment
vill be in preparation. Cod Almighty
vill release His pent-up wrath on all
lie world, the wrath pent up through
ill the ages. Cod is a patient Cod:
nit His wrath shall not he curbed forver.
It will break in the last
md woe to the inhabitants of the
vorld!"
"And then?there will be a mi"'
arthquake. The cities of the whole
vorld will be shattered to the ground.
The mountains will be wrenched from
heir places, the rivers will lie dried
ip, there will be chaos, confusion; the
vail of the damned, the thunder of
he Holy Wrath. And out of thb
linos, this darkness fills eenfusiee
>oace 'vill suddenly come, and tlv
miverse will In- hushed. That is the
nd. Christ will come during this
arthquake and quell the mighty disurbance.
The millennium will he at
land.
"And this millennium is not fai
list ant. Can you not see the proph
tic sjj^ns about you? Can you not
ee that this European war in which
>11 thi nations, even our nation, must
(ventually become, involved, is the
var in which the battle of Armagcdlon
will be fought?"
Dr. Anglebarger declares the preset
generation will see the end of the
vorld and the return of Christ.
"Within twenty-five years this bat
le will come," he said. "This is not
ny prophecy; it is the prophecy < '
feremiah, Daniel, Revelation. Read
rour Bible carefully and read the
lewspaper accounts faithfully, you
vill see that these prophecies are true
ind that the kingdom of heaven is litiraily
at hand."
