MANY TROUBLES DUE
TO AN INACTIVE LIVER
Many of the troubles of life such as
headache, indigestion, constipation '
and lack of energy are due to inactive
livers.
Grimsby's Liv-ver-Lax is a natural,
vegetable remedy that will get the
liver right and make these troubles
disappear. It has none of the dancers
or disagreeable after effects of calomel.

WILKIN SVILLE
Wilkinsville, Sept. 23.?We are now
having fine weather for picking cot- -y
ton and it is opening fast. In some
places the yield is splendid but in jj
others it is very light. In many
places there are fine stands and in j
some places it did not come up at all.
All this is against the crop in the
way of bringing it up to the average \J
and consequently it will be far short
of last year's yield. People are hav- ^
ing it ginned about as last as it is
gathered but none is being sold yet. p
The corn crop, except the low bottom
lands is rather light. We find some j
of it fairly good but no big crop of it
will be made. I think our people will
sow more wheat this fall than has
been sown in many years and the
most of it will be put in good order.
Lands are being properly prepared. A
Presbvterv was held with Salem v
rhurch last week. This is the first
time Bethel Presbytery has been here
in along time?forty-three years. In
1878 Salem church was cut off into R
Enoree Presbytery, and remained
there until about five years ago when
the church was transferred back to
Bethel Presbytery. Enoree Preshy- A
tery met here in 1904 while Rev. W. V
H. White was supplying the church as
pastor. The attendance upon Presbytery
by both ministers and elders II
was fairly good. Our brothers and
sisters of the Baptist and Methodist
churches showed a willingness to help
entertain them. One of the pleasures ^
and surprises I had during the meeting
was to meet my highly esteemed
friend, comrade and co-laborer, "Tele- ^
phone" the versatile correspondent of

have no hesitancy in saying that .
there never was a visitor, minister or V.
layman on the ground whose handshake
and presence inspired us with a
higher degree of brotherly love than
that of W. H. S. Harris. However, I
regret that his sojourn was so short
and that he could not spend the night
with me. I hope he will not make this
his last visit to our community; he
will always find the latch string on j
the outside and a cordial welcome in e|
our home. c]
I highly apreciate the motive that s
prompted President Wilson to set k
apart the first Sabbath of next month, h
October 4, as a day of prayer in be- fi

are now engaged in a bloody war. e
