Mrs. Arthur Lynah, who has been the guest of Mrs. Dan Wallace for several days, has returned to her home in Charleston. Mrs. Jeter who has been quite indisposed for several weeks is able to walk around. This is very gratifying to her many friends. Mr. E. B. Gray and little child returned to their home in Darlington a?fter spending several weeks with relatives in Union and the county. Mr. S. K. Miss Lois Townsend, who has been teaching at Allendale, has had to return home on account of sickness. She ivill resume her school duties as soon as her health permits. ReU. Dr. R. E. Stackhouse will preach at Grace Methodist church next Sunday morning at 11 o'elock at which time the Fourth quarterly conference will be held. Mr. Stanmore Langford of the Southern Power company at Union accompanied by Mr. Will Willoford, drove through in a car to Newberry Sunday night leaving Monday afternoon on the return trip?Herald and News. Farmers Union. The Central Farmers' union will meet September 28 at 12 o'clock at the court house. Every member is requested to be present at this meeting. Mr. J. W. The good work goes on. Hon. J. Rion McKissick of Green-1 ville spent Thursday in the city on business. Mr. McKissick is a former Union county hoy and one of whom we are very proud. Rev. and Mrs. J. C. Lawson and family who have been visiting relatives and friends in Union and the county for several weeks, left Tuesday for their home in Lodge.
