BURNS DETECTIVE IS
FINED IN ATLANTA
Mulcted in Sum of $100 and Bound
Over to State Courts.
Atlanta, May 26.?Daniel S. Lehon,
Southern manager for William 'J.
Burns, the detective, was fined $100
here late today in the recorder's
court and bound over to the State
courts because of alleged violation of
the city ordinances and State laws
in connection with an investigation
of the case of Leo M. Frank.
It was understood tonight that an
appeal fould be taken and that the
constitutionality of the city ordinances
governing the activities of
outside detectives would be attacked.
It was charged against the detective
that he failed to first report to the
local police authorities when he commenced
work. Similar cases are
pending against five other detectives.
The appeal to the State supreme
court on the extraordinary motion
for a new trial for the factory superintendent,
who is under sentence of
death for the murder of Mary Phagan
the factory girl, was not filed today.
It was at first thought that the
legal time for filing expired today,
but the attorneys learned that five
days for the action still remain.

their midst, aged 14 months. She
was sick for only five days, and
everything was done for her that loving
hands could do.
She is gone, our precious darling;
She is sleeping in the tomb,

They have placed her in the casket.
And have borne her form away;
Still in death she's only sleeping,
Till the resurrection day.
'Neath a mound of blooming roses,
Cold in death our darling lies,

In this world of toil and care;
But we'll join her with the ransomed,
In that land so light and fair.
Yes, 'twill be a happy greeting
When we meet to part no more;
With eur friends and loved ones waiting,
On that bright, eternal shore.
God needed one more angel child
Among his shining band,
So he reached his loving arms,
And clasped our darling's hands.
