"THE COUNTY LIVE
STOCK ASSOCIATION"
(Continued from page 3)
commissions I give direct to the subscribers.
Our membership has grown
to over forty, and our cattle more
than doubled in number; yet our feed
bill is not one pound larger than in
the beginning. W) get for our milk
ten cents a quart instead of six and a
quarter; we get for our butter thirty
cents the year round, where as we
used to get fifteen to twenty cents.
At our county fair every year the
premiums in the dairy department
are captured by our members*- We
'lave gotten rid of the old cow doctor
who bored for the hollow horn, who
split the tail and applied 1-4 pepper
and 3-4 salt for the hollow tail and
rammed down the throat of your best
cow the dirtiest dishrag on the premises
for loss of cud; and have in his
place a competent vererlnary.
We have allowed Clemson college
to eradicate our ticks and are ready
to help you gentlemen to get rid of
yours. There is no cause for me to
blush as president of the Union county
dairy association, to have merchant
after merchant tell me that every
member pays his debts, nor for
the manager of the Union Oil Mills
to tell me in an open account of thirty-five
to forty thousand dollars, he
has never lost one cent.
By the above we are not tagging
our association as the only thoroughbred
in the State, but to my mind at
least a condition of things that bear
earmarks or brand of progress. I
have told you gentlemen, as requested,
in a straight talk, how we run
things up in Union, and whether we
have done much or little, we have
done one other thing more priceless
than all things else, by association
and co-operation we know not how,
when or where, we have grown in
love and friendship with and towards
our neighbor, thereby making of ourselves
better men.
MAKES OLD PEOPLE
STRONG AND WELL
We want to get the news to all old
people about Rexall Olive Oil Emulsion,
a remarkable new food-medicine
which we firmly believe is the best
remedy ever made to overcome weakening,
debilitating effects of increasing
old age. It helps to rebuild wasted
tissues, strengthen the nerves, and
give new energy and a lively feeling
to the body. It contains no alcohol or
dangerous drug. It may not make
you feel better for a few days, but if
you do not feel much better and
stronger before you have taken
quarter as much as you have of other
medicines that have not helped you,
WP will frlnHlv trivp hfjplf nmnorr
p.? ?J "*-v" J ,,,VI,VJ?
Rexall Olive Oil Emulsion contains
pure Olive Oil and the Hypophosphites
which, though they have long
been endorsed by successful physicians,
are here for the first time combined.
The result is a real- body,
nerve and blood-building food-medicine
that we believe is superior to
anything else in overcoming debility,
weakness and liability to disease, and
to tone and strengthen the nerves
and enrich the blood. You who are
weak and run-down?you who are often
troubled bv various cold weather
ailments, use Rexall Olive Oil Emulsion
to get and keep well and strong.
It is a sensible, pleasant-tasting aid
to renewed strength, better spirits,
glowing health. If it doesn't help
you, come and tell us and we will
give back your money . without a
word. That is how much faith we
have in it. Sold only at the 7,000

The readers of this paper will be
pleased to learn that there is at least
one dreaded disease that science has
been able to cure in all its stages,
and that is Catarrh. Hall's Catarrh
Cure is the only positive cure now
known to the medical fraternity. Catarrh
being a constitutional disease,
requires a constitutional treatment.
Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken internally,
acting directly upon the blood
and mucous surfaces of the system,
thereby destroying the foundation of
the disease, and giving the patient
strength by building up the constitution
and assisting nature in doing its
work. The proprietors have so much
