NAMES RECEIVERS
FOR FORT LAWN BANK
President William H. Gist and D.
Ferguson, a Director, Are
Appointed.
CHESTER, Dec. 1.?Pursuant to
the notice in the suit of one of the
creditors of the Fort Lawn Deposit
bank on behalf of himself and all
other creditors of the institution, J.
H. Marion of the firm of Marion &
Marion appeared before Judge Geo.
[E. Prince at Yorkville on Saturday
imorning and procured an order from
him appointing William H. Gist, the
president of the bank, and D. Ferguson,
one of the largest stockholders
and a director of the bank, as the
receivers. This order was consented
to by Samuel E McFadden, who has
been employed to represent the bank.
The receivers will at once take active
charge of the assets of the bank
and its affairs will be administered
and wound up under the direction
and supervision of the court.
The attorneys say that from the
information they have and after a
careful investigation, it seems reasonably
certain that all creditors and
depositors of the institution will be

the hank can be convertel into cash.
Of course, it is said, a reasonable decree
of patience will have to be exercised
by the depositors, as it will necessarily
require some time to reduce
the assets of the bank into cash.

The Pennsylvania railroad company
has issued a statement to the
effect that many fatalities on their
road have been due to the high heeled
shoes and hobble skirts. A careful
record kept for the three months
ending Oct 14 of all injuries sustained
by women due to slipping,
stumbling or falling while on the
railroad property indicates that
these accidents are becoming mora
frequent despite the fact that the
