The farmers are counting on fine yields of both corn and cotton. There is certainly some fine crops in this neighborhood. Mr. M. R. Sams has a two-acre patch ot corn that he counts on getting two hundred bushels from. I have seen the patch and walked through it and [ am sure it will make two hundred bushels. Mr. ?ams fertilized this lot with cow stall manure and commercial fertilizer and he only put three furrows to the row. We have a numJer of progressive farmers in this community and they are not book Farmers but practical farmers. They io not farm after the Rock Hill plan the Williamson Plan or Clemson Plan. Mr. Dalbert P. Bogan went to Spartanburg Monday on business. There will be a public debate at ,he West Spring" school building on lext Saturday evening, the 6th inst, it 8 o'clock.
