II FARI We =w E' Bail* WTWe MHHHHHMnHHBl Death of Mrs. Isabella Painter. Mrs. Isabella Painter, wife of Mr. H. I. Painter, died at her home on c West Main street Saturday morning, * Aug. 9, after an illness of several ? months. ' Mrs. Painter was before her mar- s riage a Miss Mosely, of Georgia. At the time of her death she was 52 years of age. She leaves a husbandd, three sons and four daughters, two brothers and one sister to mourn her v loss. Mrs. Painter was for many years a consistent member of the i Methodist church and was a devoted Christian woman. She numbered her friends by the score and was of a kind and sweet disposition. During the many months of her illness she never murmured or complained but retained the same cheer- c ful disposition that she possessed in 3 health. ? jj The funeral service were held at g her home Sunday morning at 10 ^ o'clock and were conducted by Rev. j L. L. Wagnon. A large crowd of rel- j atives and friends attended the services and many expressiohs of grief at the death of this noble woman were heard. * . Jeter's home, "Rose Hill," was a scene of lovliness on Thursday evening, when Mrs. Jeter was the charming hostess of a delightful shower given in honor of Mis3 Esther Jeter, a bride of next week. Misses Nannie and Margaret Jeter served punch from a cozy nook under trailing vines on the wide veranda, dressed as dainty little fairy maids. The lower floor of the house was thrown ensuite and decorated .in palms, ferns and masses of sun flowers, forming a beautiful back ground for the lovely bride-to-be, who wore a handsome dress of white satin with an overdress of lace.
