Miss Floride Kelly spent the weekend

Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Going spent
Sunday at the home of their parents,

Mrs. J. C. Ammons of Union spent
last week at the home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Gallman.
Rev. F. E. Hodges filled his appointment
at Bethlehem Sunday
morning. His text was Second Timothy,
fourth chapter and seventh
verse. Mr. Hodges preached a powerful
sermon from his text.
Mr. D. G. Gallman has had waterworks
put in his house. This adds
lots of conveniences to the home and
barn also.
Nina Belue, the two-year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Belue
died at Lockhart Sunday morning ana
was buried at Duck Pond church
Monday. Pneumonia was the cause
of the little one's death. Mr. and Mrs.
Belue have many friends and relatives
throughout the county to sympathize
with them in their sad bereavement.

Requiring Closet Connection With
Sewerage.
Be it Ordained by the Mayor and
Aldermen of the City of Union, S. C.,
ni Council assembled, and by authority
of same:
Section 1. That each and every
building in the city of Union, S. C.,
used as a dwelling, store, livery stable,
tenement house, mill or foundry,
or any building used for business or
habitation, shall be provided by the
owner thereof with water closet connected
with public sewer, provided
said dwelling, store, livery stable,
tenement house, mill or foundry, or
any building used for business or
habitation i? located within five hundred
(500) feet of the nublie sewer.

live ($5.00) dollars for each and
every day after July 1st, 1913, for so
violating.
Sec. 2. That all Ordinances or
parts of ordinances conflicting with
this ordinance are hereby declared repealed.
