I have secured from the Bureau of Entomology the following statement as to the best method of treatment: "Cut a considerable quantity of grass or other vegetation which the worms will feed upon; sprinkle this with Paris green while the vegetal tion is damp and place upon the worms will usually gather underout the infested fields; when the ground in compact bunches throughdeath these poisoned baits and feeding thereon will be destroyed. This is the best remedy that we can recommend in view of our present knowledge of the insect."
