The unhappy woman has been i prisoner in close confinement for sev eral months, and since the coming ol spring especially has found her im prisonment a veritable torture. Before the grand jury indictment i was given out by her lawyers tha she did not make bond because sh< choose voluntarily to remain in th? Tower, in the idea that her imprison ment would force the grand jury t< act without delay. When the grand jury x*eturned iti indictment and Judge Roan fixed th< new bond at $5,000 it was under stood that Mrs. Grace would be re leased the same day. "Mrs. Grac< to be free" is the way the local news papers headed their account. Bu Mrs. Grace is still a prisoner. Bom has not been made, and now new ex planations are being offered by he; friends.
