The "Skiddoo" postal cards, esjM-eially
those bearing the membership
formula of the "Down ami Out
Club," are in trouble with Uncle
Sam's mail service. A southern
colonel, now in Washington, received
one, and he immediately sent it
to Postmaster General Meyer, with
the request for an opinion as to
whether or not the card was insulting,
and if so, was it eligible for
passage through the mail. The
matter was taken under advisement.
The census bureau of Washington
'City has given out the statistics of
livorce in the United States. According
to these figures a divorce is
granted every three minutes of the
.vorking hours of the court officials.
Hie census officers say that divorce
s increasing at an alarming rate.
