Miss Addie Hughes, sister of Hon. J. G. Hughes, is the guest of Mrs. Claude Sartor. Mr. J. K. Hamblin spent a day or two in Columbia this week on a business trip. Rev. W. B. Miss Pearl Goforth^who lids been teaching at Padgett's creek, Bias returned to Union to spend the summer. Rev. A. G. Wardlaw, D. P., will leave Friday for Princeton, N. J., where he goes to deliver the commencement address. Mr. T. J. Alverson, of Cross Keys, paid us a pleasant visit Wednesday. He is still selling that line variety of Peterkin cotton seed. Mrs. B. F.
