Mr. Editor:?As nothing has ap-1
peared in The Times from our section
in some time, 1 decided to;
give you a few dots.
The farmers are very busy gathering
their short crops; cotton is
very short, corn is nothing like a j
good crop, and the hay crop is
very poor. The frost killed a great j
deal of the pea-vine hay. \
Today, the people of South Caro-1
lina will honor themseles, at least a 1
goodly number of them, by being
at the unveiling of the Wade
Hampton monument in Columbia.
We are proud of his record as a sol-,
dier and a citizen.
I was in Jonesvillo last week;
everything was moving right along.
They are to have a new bank in
that little city soon; it is an assured i
thing and is bound to be a success
under the management of such,
business men as Mr. Tom Sam
Littlejohn as president and Mr. J.
M. (iault as cashier, as these gentlemen
are talked of as being
among the ollicers that will probably
l>e at the head of the concern.
