AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE TO PREVENT HACKMEN
FROM I* LOCKING THE APPROACHES
SOUTHERN RAILWAY'S PASSENGER
DEPOT.
He it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen
of the Town of Union, South
Carolina, in Council assembled and by
authority of same:
Section i. That it shall be unlawful for
any driver of a hack or other vehicle
used for transporting passengers to block
the approaches to the Passenger Depot
of the Southern Railway Company in the
Town cf Union, South Carolina, and all
such hacks and vehicles, except when receiving
passengers and while passengers
thereof are alighting from same, shall be
nligned along the curbway on the opposite
side of the street from said depot.
\ny person convicted of a violation of
mis ordinance shall be fined not more
more than Ten Dollars ($10.00) or imprisoned
not more than Thirty (30) Days.
Done and ratified in Council assem>led,
under the Corporate Seal of the
Town of Union, South Carolina, on this
he sixth day of March, A. D. 1905.
