Mr. Joseph Sanllerd is building a neat
cottage in West End.
Mr. M. C. Deaver, of Carlisle,
was in the city Thursday.
Mr. John Stewart, fireman on the
Southern and located at Columbia, was
in the city a few days this week.
Miss Louise Long will go as maid of
honor with her sister. Miss Bessie, who
was chosen as sponsor to the Confederate
reunion at Charleston in May.
Mr.'dcr ?ho has been employed
as stenographer at the Excelsior
Knitting Mill, has resigned his position
and gone to Columbia.
Judge J. M. Creer went to Spartanburg
Thursday morning on the 9 a. m.
train to bear a case in ibe Probate Court,
Judce Gentry being disqualified by beimr

Senator B. K. Tillman has recover,
. ed from his attack of throat trouble,
and was able to attend the meeting

A Bad Runaway. *
