Union, S. O.
There has been more l.ay on the

it finds ready sale too. Most of it is
mixed with pea vines and peas and it
makes fine food for stock.

Have you noticed the bright red
glow towards sunset the last three
evenings? It has the appearance of
the reflection of a great conflagration
in the skies. Some say it means
, cold weather is coming. Well it is
getting time for it to show up.
The case of It )sa Williams, colored,

of which it was claimed he died

ended Friday, the jury giving the mother
a verdict for $IC0 damages.

President Mitchell, of the coal

"To my personal know bulge, Mr.

Spartanburg has evidenced the fact
very forcibly that she intends to enforce
the new pistol law, and is s icking it to
violators to the tune of $>0 a vio.
This is the way to enforce the law.
Let those who have an idea that they
can violate liw at their pleasuro, distinctly
understand that they will do
so at their peril. This may account
in a great measure for tho orderly

This law has corao to stay and it is
