"\Vhen your cotton goes to gin,
not to pay vho printer
Is t* Q*pardon?blo sin.
Hi* men vrho have to rack their
brains
To furnish you with news,
. .They have families to furnish too,
With bacon, grits and shoes.
They sit in their office,
From early morn till night,
Fighting with their patience,
And "sticking" up the type.
They never disappoint you,
The paper's never late.
.Have pity on the printer,
And settle up-to-date.

Church at Buffalo.
By the courtesy of our friend, Mr.
It. (r. Kpearman, the popu'ar manage*
of t>ho HomeTelophone Company,
\v? took a drive behind one of Mr,
Wllcott's fin/at bob-tailed and
in no np-to*d?te rubber tired vehicle
to Buffalo. We were not locg in getting
there. It was near Knocking clT
time when we arrived and we did not
go in tiie mill but drove around some
of their broad new street3 and t.?ok ?>
look at the handsome new church
that is being built on a beautiful elevation
some distance back from the
mill. The church is a handsome and
commodious structure with a pretty
cupola, is something liko SO feet
long by 4o feet wide ou the inside,
outside of the two rooms in rear of
pulpit. There is a library room over
those rooms for the Sunday school
books and literature. On the right
as you enter a department lias been
cut oil for n Sunday school room, hut
the whole may be converted into the
congregation room when necessary.
The pulpit is in tlift inside of the
building, instead of the end, while
the choir lias an elevated platform on
the left of the pulpit, handsomely
boxed up. It has room for a very
large choir. The windows are of red
stained chipped gia>-s, that adds very
much to the attractive appearance < f
the building and causes a mellow
iigbt on the inside. The church, we
Understand, is to be a Union church.
The parsonage is being built ncr.r
by. The church will probably be finished
in ten days' time. It is a
building that does credit to the pretty
