Old Man Slain In Quarrel.
Clayton, Ga., Marcn 11.? In a difll:ulty
on Saturday between Calvin F.
fork and Charles Ramey, the latter
instained fatal injuries from wh^cb he
lied. Ramey was S3 years old and
fork is about 45. No one witnessed
ho altercation except York's wife. The
rouble originated concerning the disjossosrion
of Ramey as tenant of
fork. York is confined in Jail on the

Building Up Like Magic. I

not only that buildings in all sections
of the city, and especially so in thy
burned district, are springing up like
magic, but that they are being completed
with wonderful rapidity. The
feature last week in building operations
was that the 1,800 mark had
been reached, the'vecords at the ofTico
of Building Commissioner Prioleau
showing that at the close c 1 business
Saturday night permits for 1,812 buildings
had been issued at the oillce since
May. Of this number ICS are brick
