A Narrow Escape.
While coming to town in a buggy
Saturday Mrs. Jno. N Inman and Miss
Mary Jane Trammell had a very narrow
escape from death. Near the Andy
McNt-aoe old place the horse became
frightened and backed the buggy into a
vully on the roadside and both t he ladies
fell out iuto the gully, but fortunately
they were thrown ou the left side of the
buggy while the horse fell to the right.
Neither of the ladies or the horse or
buggy were injured. The horse was
wedged in the gulley in such a manner
that he could not get out Messrs D.
Inman, II. C. Little. Vaney Porter and
others soon arrived and dug the horse out.
Nothing but the harness waa Injured.
This had to be cut to get the horse out*
The horse w httohed to the buggy and
drove to town and home again. It was
almost a miraculous escape.
