from Colonel Greeuloaf, chief surgeon
of the divison of the Philippines, giving
some interesting facts in regard to the
health of the army there. The report
i? dated Manila, Jan. lo last. Ac that
time the strength of the command was
7,415 aud the per centago of sick was
7.49. The consolidated weekly report
of the hospitals i:i Manila and the military
hospitals in the division shows
9,400 sick, of which 390 cases were malarial
fever, 320 dysentery, 235 wounds
and injuries, etc. There were S3 deaths
among the troops during the mouth
ended Jan. 15.
Colonel Greonleaf says that ho regards
the health of the command as good.
