Fatal Accident.
Mrs. J. G. Guignard, of Co'.unobi?,
was driving, in that city last Friday, iu
company wit i her daughter, Miss IJrucn,
when the horse Ivcumo frightened ami
ran away, all ifforts to stop liiui failed,
the buggy collided witii a groceiy wagou
midway tlie bridge over the river, and
both ladies were thrown out, Miss Bruce
bul some of her teeth knocked out, while
Mrs. Guignard was thrown so heavily
to the 11 x>r of the bridge that she was
rendered unconscious and received injures
from which she died at her home
Monday at 12 o'clock. She was the
mother of our townsman, Rev. S. It.
luignard. Rev. Mr. Guignard went to
Columbia to bis mother's bedside Sunlay.

he family in their bereavement.
