Truck Farming, Mr. A. 13. Osborne, an energetic and progressive farmer who resides a short distance from the city, has decided that it don't pay to raise cotton and is devoting his attention to truck farming. He has a fine crop of strawberries and is selling them at profitable prices. If more of our farmers would follow Mr. Osborne's example llioy -wwiM be more ouecewful and prosperous. Death of a Young flan. Mr. Will Thomas, a young man about 2ti years of age, died at the home of his uncle, Win. Gilliam, of Bogausville, last week. Ilis remains were buried at Gilliam's Chapel, near Santuc, the day following his death. Mr. Thomas had been in failing health for more than a year and had gone to his uncle's home hoping the change would be beneficial, but he declined rapidly and soon died. Smith, ono of the six new lieutenants of the regular United States army, has been assigned to the Eighth United States Infantry, now stationed at Havana. He left 8unday for Governor's Island, New York, where he has been orderod for temporary duty and upon the completion of his duties there will proceed to Havana to join his regiment. Lieut.
