pastor, Bev. I/. M. Bice. Mr. Bice h;us

church and was to have preached his first

with his wife last Friday, and was unwell

Sunday morning lie had a chill and consequently

week. Mondays sales wen- greater than ,
any day since the holidays. They got in
Si l'Hi. worth of liquor on Tuesday. If
it continues to go like it did on Monday
that will not last long. It In-comes more
and more apparent that the dis|H-iisary is
not a tenqn-ranee institution in any sense
of the word. I'eople still buy and drink,
and get drunk, even if they do have to
sign their names and pay cash.

and was the sensation of t!?e week.
The defendant was charged with having
killed an old man and then laid
him on the railroad so that he might
appear to have been killed by the
train. 11 is counsel Mess. Sims and
Dixon, and Mr. S. S. Stokes made a
good light for him. The jury made
a mistrial.
