the society of Christian Endeavor
gave an entertainment
at the church parlor to the
members of the Society and
their friends, which was much
enjoyed by many who attended
it. The evening was to a
great extent taken up with
conversation, 1 n t e r s p e r se<!
with a few selections ol music.
After the evening had well
advanced one ol the recitation
rooms was thrown open disclosing
a tree decorated with
a number of bright colored ;
tissue paper bags, and the die-1
tribution of contents ol samel
bags afforded great amuse-1
ment for every article in thei.i
had been selected with that
intent. Quite a number of
