the citizens to consult as to the advisability
of having water works and
electric lights and the people approved
JlTayor Fant's idea by appointing
committees who went to work. The
result was a unanimous endorsement
last Friday afternoon of the committee's
idea. They had experts to come
here and survey the grounds and they
say after thoroughly going over that
Union can have water works and
electric lights for $3,000, waterbo_
ing brought three miles from a clear
stream amplo to supply water, so the
experts testified for a town of 60,000.

can say we are going to have water
