The origin of tin- tire is not known, lit
it is supposed to hive ought from a hut]
that had been lett burning. It was a tiav
row escape. Had the lire been disco vere

no hope of saving the building.
Last Friday was the dullest day we hav
had at Union in a long lime. 1 he otreel

Nearly every freight train brings us something that we
ixre laying in for Fall and Winter Trade, while we can buy
them cheap during the Summer months with the
READY CASH ;
We are neither "resting nor sleeping 011 our oars" but
ire wide awake and continually at it picking up Bargains
or Cash Buyers such as they can and will appreciate when
the season comes.
As a "starter" we are now oll'ering White Unlaundried
Dress Shirts. Reinforced, well made, and of pretty fair material
too, for 25 Clents.
Some people say they don't read advertisements. Maybe
they don't read tliein all. We pity them if they had to

besides they come in and buy the things we advertise.
