That of Judge Goff is of special interest to us
because it deals with the "nigger problem'
the ptactical solution if which is one of the
grave subjects that we have always with usii

because to our Northern contemporaries the
"nigger problem ' is the dumping grouul of
their surplus vocabulary and ultra piety,
and atfords an excellent subject for the
airing of views on the doctrino of free governmeut
and the rights of citizens. They deal
with the theory side of the problem, uud
perhaps their theories are altight. We deal
with the facts; we dauce to the music and
we know the time.
On the front page we priut an article

now of Louisville Ky. is the author of a
clever production "A True Ghost Story" in
which a fraud on the ghouls of Georgia is
ferretted out and exposed. As an exposition

however it is not so satisfactory. "People
delight iu being humbugged;" and we delight
in & ghost story that has real ghosts in it.
