We visited Union last week hut did not
have time to call at the Times Office and pup
our respect to the Editor and printer boys.

We visited the Clifford Seminary and
found that wile awake and progressive institution
in full opertaion. It is one of the
best schools for girls iu the up country It
is not only a school but a home for them*

their scholars as soon ns they have prepared
them for their work. Won't our people appreciate

our town and community. The health of the
people is good though the weather is certainly
unheulthy so many sudden changes and

Most of the movers have got settled down

~ Section, 1.
That from and after (he passage of this
ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any one
to retail Wine, Browed, Malt or Spirituous
Liquors or any mix'ure thereof witin the
Corporate limits of tlio Town of Union, S. C.
except as sold at the Dispensary.
Section, 2.
That any one ^violating any of the provisions
of lhia ordinance shall upon cnnv.ction
before the town Council be punished for each
offence by a fine not exceeding twonty dollars
or imprisonmcnt for not more than
twenty diiys in the discretion of the Town
Council.
Section, 3.
Tint all evideno given at a trial resulting
in conviatiou shall be turned over to the f
stale authorities to be tried under the 1
Dispensary act. J
