Field, Florida, died in a hospital here
I yesterday of pneumonia, contracted
i while on his honeymoon, it was learn

Paxvifte, Jan. 29,?Soldier Graham
Geddings, of the 30th division, A. E.
F., came home Saturday night, having
recently received his discharge from
Camp Jackson. He will spend awhile
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M.
Geddings, before entering a govern
j ment school for some branch of
study. He spent several months over
seas, and was with the 30th in some
of its most severe fighting. He re
ceived four wounds as a consequence,
and has been in a hospital in England
until returning to this country since
.Christmas. He was met in Sumter
by several of his friends from here
[and his home has been thronged with'
visitors since his arrival.
Misses Ethel, Leila and Daisy Cor
bett spent the week-end visiting Mrs.
Elma Tisdale in Sumter. They were
joined there by Miss Lois Benson, of
Gaffney.
Mrs. R. S. Smith and children of
Dalzell, spent last weefc visiting at
the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. J. M. Geddings.
Messrs. T. R. Owen, J. W. Mims,
Jr., and Prosser spent last Sunday at
Pamplico.
Mr. H. Cain, of S?mmerton, was a
visitor here last Sunday.
Louis Weinberg is spending awhile
here before going to Charleston,
where he has accepted a position'
with the Atlantic Coast Line Railway.
Miss Tabnha Geddings, who is
teaching in the Privateer - section
spent Sunday at home. -
Mr. Claude McLeod has recently
moved into his home erected near,
his father, Mr. W. R. McLeod.
