Villa, Angeles and other leaders in Northern Mexico, within a few days. It became known tonight that under direction of Gen. Villa and his lieutenants, copies of the peace appeal have been printed at Jaurez and Chi? huahua for dietributlon. Another indication of the Carranza faction's opposition to any outside in? terference into Mexican affairs was contained in dispatches made public by Villa's Washington agent from Jesus Acuna, minister of foreign af? fairs at Vera Cruz quoting a state? ment to newspaper men in Mexico City last night by Gen. Pablo Gon? zales, the Carranza commandant. Gen. Gonzales said: "I believe the constitutionalist gov? ernment soon will he recognized by the United States and South American countries. In case of political or arm? ed Intervention 1 would uphold the policies of the first chief and go to war If necessary without hesitation." An interesting development today was a report from El Paso that Gen. Hugh L.
